I'm a genuine oatmeal cookie monster... I just counted, and as of January 2018, I've shared 47 oatmeal cookie recipes with you. Eep! Have you tried any of them yet? (? You can find all my oatmeal cookie recipes directly there!) They are some of the most well-known recipes on my website cause they taste very sweet and cozy, exactly like traditional"indulgent" oatmeal cookie recipes, but they contain no refined sugar or bread!
That means you're going to begin with whole wheat flour (or gluten-free, if you want ) and prompt oats (like those... or these for a gluten free edition!) . Instant oats are thinner and smaller than conventional rolled oats, and you may find them at canisters right alongside those old-fashioned oats at the grocery store.
I probably sound like a broken record by now... But because I ? you and need your cookies to turn out absolutely soft and chewy, I am reminding you ... Quantify your yogurt and bread correctly, applying this technique or a kitchen scale! (? That is the one I have and enjoy. A lot of either ingredient will make your biscuits taste cakey or sterile, rather than chewy. This is especially true of the oats--that they act like little sponges and consume plenty of moisture from your cookie dough!
Ripe bananas- ideal for baking! Really like all @amybakeshealthy's yummy & healthful banana recipes!
See those bananas? And all those brown spots? When it comes to baking bananas, brown = beautiful! I ? extra speckly bananas because they've so much bright, bold flavor--along with extra natural sweetness! That's the minimum amount of brown that I recommend. More is better!
The remaining part of the cookie dough's sweetness comes in a different natural ingredient... Pure maple syrup (such as that!) . You want the kind that comes straight from pine trees, which is usually offered in thin glass bottles or squat, round plastic jugs. Skip the pancake syrup and sugar-free syrup!
HEALTHY! Banana Oatmeal Raisin Cookies - sweet, chewy & just 92 calories! And they are SO easy to make! You will not ever need another banana cookie recipe !
The peppers include much more natural sweetness! The recently purchased, additional plump, perfectly tender ones are perfect... But if you have older, somewhat dried out carbohydrates (hmm... it sounds silly to describe dried fruit as dried outside! ) , that is okay!
Only add them into a microwave-safe bowland put water on top until they're completely covered. Seal plastic wrap across the top, and microwave the bowl on high for 1 minute. If you allow the raisins sit mixing together the cookie dough, then this little trick hydrates them so they're tremendously juicy--and that makes a significant difference in these cookies as soon as they're baked!

Healthy Banana Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
Yields: 15 biscuits
These oatmeal cookies are soft, chewy, and full of banana flavor! The familiar comfy spices and plump raisins make these even more irresistible. They'll keep for a minumum of one week if kept in an airtight container in the refrigerator--should they last that long!
1 cup (100g) instant oats (fermented if required and quantified like this)
3/4 cup (90g) whole wheat or gluten-free* flour (quantified like that )
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tbsp (28g) unsalted butter or olive oil, melted and cooled slightly
1/4 cup (63g) mashed banana
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup (120mL) pure maple syrup
1/4 cup (40g) raisins
In a medium bowlwhisk together the oats, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. In another bowlwhisk together the butter or coconut oil, mashed banana, and vanilla. Stir in the maple syrup. Add in the flour mixture, stirring only until incorporated.
With a spoon and spatula, dip the cookie dough to 15 rounded scoops on the sheet, and apply to the desired depth and width by means Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe by Tasty of a spatula. Bake in 325°F for 10-12 minutes.
Notes: It is extremely important to quantify both the oats and flour correctly using this method or even a kitchen scale. (? That's exactly the one I have and adore!) Too much of either could dry out of the biscuits click here to read and leave them cakey instead of chewy.
Instant oats are also referred to as quick-cooking or minute oats. They arrive in large canisters, exactly like old-fashioned oats. They are not the ones in the tiny flavored packets of oatmeal. To create your own, include the same quantity of old-fashioned yogurt into a food processor, and pulse 10-12 days or until the oats are approximately 1/4 into ? of the original size.
For the fermented flour, I recommend the following blend: 1/2 cup (60g) millet flour, two tbsp (15g) tapioca flour, two tablespoons (15g) brown rice , as well as 1/2 tsp xanthan gum. Most store-bought gluten-free flour blends (such as that one!) Will also do the job, if measured like this.
For the best results, use the ripest and spottiest bananas you can find!
In case your pancakes are mature, drier, and not so plump or succulent... Add them into a microwave-safe bowland pour water at the top till they're totally covered. Seal plastic wrap across the surface, and then microwave the bowl on high for 1 second. If you let the peppers sit mixing together the cookie dough, then this little hint hydrates them so they're really soft and juicy!
